Ken Rich

Music Director, Wadhurst Brass Band

 

Wadhurst Brass Band is delighted that Ken Rich has taken up his baton once more as the band’s Musical Director.

Ken has been involved with brass bands for over fifty years and played under many well-known conductors. He has taught many young people to play brass instruments and loves to share his passion for brass band music.

Ken has been conducting for thirty-five years winning prizes for bands and awards for his conducting. He has participated in radio and TV, Massed Band concerts and at many venues including the National Brass Band Finals at the Albert Hall.

Ken conducted the Band from 1998 to 2004, since when he has often acted as our guest conductor as well as playing E flat horn and also composing and arranging music for the Band.

Ken is well known to all our audiences and players alike. We are delighted to see him in charge of the band again during its 50th Anniversary year.
